Stricto Sensu Graduate Program in Production Engineering

SELECTION PROCESS

Academic Year 2020

The Stricto Sensu Graduate Program in Production Engineering, in Master and Doctorate, announces the opening of registration for the selection of candidates for filling vacancies to the year 2020, in the period from August 1st to October 4th, 2019 (Management of Operation Systems) and August 01 to October 25, 2019 (Sustainability in Production Systems)

The applicant must submit the following documents:

  1. Copy of the front and back of the Undergraduate Diploma, registered;
  2. Copy of academic transcript of graduation courses;
  3. Copy of the front and back of the Diploma Course Masters (only Doctorate);
  4. Copy of Transcript of the Master's Degree (only Doctorate);
  5. Copy of ID;
  6. Copy of the CPF (Individual Taxpayer);
  7. Copy of birth or marriage certificate;
  8. Documented curriculum vitae (preferably, Lattes);
  9. Enrollment fee in the amount (*);
  10. Copy of proof of registration, available at the end of the on-line application.

(*) The registration fee must be paid per bank slip generated upon completing the online application form. The bank slip can not be paid in UNIP's cash.

The candidate will also have to:

  • Express, in a statement attached to the documents, the option for a Research Line and a Program Research Project.
  • Prepare a text describing the main contributions that will be able to give to the chosen research project . The text, with a maximum of six (06) pages, is the proposal of the Research Project of the applicant, and shall contain:
    1. name;
    2. description of the contribution;
    3. justification, that is, what is the importance of the contribution and adherence to Project Program;
    4. brief description of the activities required to implement the contribution to the Research Project Program;
    5. schedule of activities;
    6. references according to the ABNT.
  • The candidate for the Doctorate, besides writing the text referenced in the item above, shall submit its proposed contribution orally, preferably with support projection, lasting approximately 10 minutes.
  • The proposal presented by the student is orientative and not necessarily definitive.

Foreign candidates must submit as well:

  • Copy of the National Register of Foreigners (RNE) or evidentiary document as regards regular residence in Brazil;
  • CELPE-BRAS Certificate of sufficiency in Portuguese language (http://portal.inep.gov.br/celpebras). May be accepted the protocol of enrollment in the examination. 

Candidates that have a degree in foreign institutions must submit the following documents:

  • Copy of the academic transcript and graduation diploma duly revalidated, according to current legislation, except in the event of international agreements, provided that are incorporated by Brazil, for candidates to Master's Degree.

No registrations will be accepted with partial delivery of documents that do not meet the strict set forth in this notice.
In case of approval in the selection process, all documents must be originals presented at enrollment.

Operating Systems Management Candidates

Candidates must submit the documentation listed in the Graduation Department  or send digital copies of documents in PDF format to the email: ppgep@unip.br. Only legible and original copies will be accepted.

Sustainability Candidates in Production Systems

Candidates must submit the documentation listed in the Production and Environment Laboratory to Luiz Ghelmand Netto, or send the digital copies of the documents in PDF format to: luiznetto@unip.br. Only legible, full-size copies will be accepted.

Selection of Master's and Doctorate comprises:

Step I - Eliminatory
The registration will only be validated by the payment of bank and send the complete documentation on time.

Step II - Written test
Only for approved candidates in Step I

Step III - Interview
Interview and presentation of Research Project for approved candidates in Steps I and II.

STEP I - REGISTRATION AND DELIVERY OF DOCUMENTS

STEP II - EXAMINATION OF SELECTION - WRITTEN TEST
October 19, 2019 (Saturday) from 09:00 A.M to 12:00 A.M - Written Test.

November 11, 2019 (Monday) - Convocation of the classified.
November 18 and 19, 2019 (Monday and Tuesday) - Interviews and presentations of the Research Projects.

RESULT OF SELECTION
November 25, 2019 (Friday), after 6:00 P.M - Publication of the result of the selection on the Program's web page.

PRE-REGISTRATION
December 02 and 03, 2019 (Monday and Tuesday) - Pre-Registration of Approved
December 9, 2019 (Monday) - Pre-Registration for Remaining Vacancies

STEP I - REGISTRATION AND DELIVERY OF DOCUMENTS
From August 1st to October 25th 2019 - Registration and delivery of documents.

STEP II - EXAMINATION OF SELECTION - WRITTEN TEST
December 2, 2019 (Monday) from 10:00 A.M to 12:00 A.M - Written Test.

STEP III - INTERVIEWS FOR CANDIDATES APPROVED THE STEPS I AND II
December 9, 2019 (Monday) - Convocation of the classified.
From December 16 and 17, 2019 (monday and tuesday) - Interviews and presentations of the Research Projects.
The dates and times of the interviews will be announced in the convocation of the classified.

RESULT OF SELECTION
December 20, 2019 (Friday), after 6:00 P.M - Publication of the result of the selection on the Program's web page.

Enrollments must be made personally at the Registry of the program from January 6 to 17, 2020, 2019, when the applicant  will have to:

  1. Submit the following original documents:
    1. Graduation Course Registered Diploma;
    2. Transcript of Graduation courses;
    3. Diploma Course Masters (only for Doctorate);
    4. Transcript of the Master's Degree (only for Doctarate);
    5. ID;
    6. CPF (Individual Taxpayer);
    7. Birth or marriage certificate;
    8. 2 3x4 photos (recent).
  2. Sign the Contract Educational Services;
  3. Making the choice of subjects to be processed through the semester;
  4. Remove the ticket for payment of tuition.

All incoming students must enroll in the compulsory subject Methodology for Scientific and Technological Research and, during their stay in the Program, in the Systems and Processes discipline in Production Engineering.
