Master's Degree: Recommended by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel - CAPES, in accordance with the Official Letter CAA/GTC of July 30, 1998, and recognized by Ministerial Ordinance number 1,733 of December 7, 1999, by the Chamber of Higher Education of the National Council of Education, CNE/CES Opinion No. 511/99 of May 19, 1999. Approved by Ministerial Ordinance No. 609 of March 14, 2019, and by the Higher Education Chamber of the National Education Council, CNE Opinion /CES number 487/2018 of August 9, 2018, as published in the Official Federal Gazette of March 18, 2019, Section 1 - ISSN 1677-7042, page 63 and 150.

Doctorate: Recommended by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel - CAPES, according to the area's Evaluation Committee and judged by the CTC/CAPES, at its 158th Meeting, which took place from May 11 to 15, 2015. Recognized by Ministerial Ordinance number 609 of March 14, 2019, and by the Higher Education Chamber of the National Council of Education, CNE/CES Opinion number 487/2018 of August 9, 2018, as published in the Federal Official Gazette of 18 March 2019, Section 1 - ISSN 1677-7042, pg. 63 and 150.

Mandatory minimum credits for new entrants until the first semester of 2021:

  • 32 (thirty-two) credit units in courses
  • 03 (three) credit units in Complementary Activities
  • Qualification Exam.
  • 60 (sixty) credit units for the preparation, presentation and defense of the Dissertation.

Total: 95 credits


Mandatory minimum credits for new entrants from the second half of 2021:

  • 34 (thirty-four) credit units in courses
  • 03 (three) credit units in Complementary Activities
  • Qualification Exam.
  • Qualification Exam.
  • 60 (sixty) credit units for the preparation, presentation and defense of the Dissertation.

Total: 97 credits

Minimum mandatory credits for new entrants from the second half of 2021:

  • 22 (twenty-two) credit units in discipLEVELs
  • 03 (three) credit units in Complementary Activities
  • 20 (twenty) credit units for the preparation and presentation of the Qualification exam.
  • 80 (eighty) credit units for the elaboration, presentation and defense of the Thesis.

Total: 125 credits
