Academic Year 2025 (Second Semester)

The Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program in Production Engineering announces the opening of applications for the selection process of candidates, at the Master's and Doctorate levels, aiming to fill vacancies for the second semester of the 2025 academic year. The application period is from April 14 to May 30, 2025.

Application will be made online only.

The candidate must submit the following documents:

  1. Copy of the Identity Card (preferably) or another identification document with national validity, for Brazilian candidates;
  2. Copy of the Birth or Marriage Certificate;
  3. Copy of the CPF (Brazilian individual taxpayer registry);
  4. Copy of the Academic Transcript(s) of the undergraduate course(s);
  5. Copy, front and back, of the Diploma(s) of the undergraduate course(s), registered, from a course recognized by the MEC (Brazilian Ministry of Education);
  6. Copy of the Academic Transcript of the Master's course, for candidates for the Doctorate;
  7. Copy, front and back, of the Diploma of the Master's course, for candidates for the Doctorate;
  8. Detailed Curriculum Vitae (preferably, Lattes);
  9. Registration Fee (*);
  10. Copy of the proof of payment of the registration fee;
  11. Copy of the Master's dissertation, in PDF format, for candidates for the Doctorate.

(*) The registration fee must be paid per bank slip generated upon completing the online application form.
In case of any issues related to the generation or payment of the invoice, it is recommended to contact directly the Secretary of the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program in Production Engineering.

The registration fee will not be refunded if the candidate is not classified for any stage of the selection process.

The candidate will also have to:

l) Manifest, in a declaration attached to the documents, the option for a Research Line and a Program Research Project.
m) Prepare a text describing the main contributions you can make to the chosen Research Project. The text, with a maximum of 04 (four) pages, will be the proposal of the candidate's Research Project and must contain:

  • name;
  • description of the contribution;
  • justification, that is, what is the importance of the contribution and adherence to Project Program;
  • brief description of the activities required to implement the contribution to the Research Project Program;
  • schedule of activities;
  • references according to the ABNT.

n) The candidate for the Doctorate, in addition to preparing the text mentioned in the previous item, must present their proposal orally during the interview, preferably with the aid of a presentation. The presentation should have an estimated duration of 10 minutes.
o) The proposal presented by the student is orientative and not necessarily definitive.

Foreign candidates must submit as well:

p) Copy of the National Foreigners Registry (RNE)/National Migration Registry (RNM) or document proving legal residence in Brazil;
q) CELPE-BRAS Certificate of sufficiency in Portuguese language (http://portal.inep.gov.br/acoes-internacionais/celpe-bras). May be accepted the protocol of enrollment in the examination. 

Candidates who attended an undergraduate or Master's degree in foreign institutions must submit the following documents:

r) Copy of the academic record and the duly revalidated diploma of the graduation course, according to the current legislation, except in the case of international agreements, provided that they are incorporated by Brazil;
s) Copy of academic transcripts and Master's degree, duly recognized by a Brazilian program recognized by CAPES, for Doctorate candidates.

Candidates must send digital copies of their documents in PDF format to the following email address: ppgep@unip.br and wait for confirmation of receipt. Only legible copies in their original size will be accepted.

If approved in the selection process, all documents must be presented in their original form at the time of enrollment.

Applications with incomplete documentation or that do not strictly comply with the requirements of this notice will not be accepted.

The selection of the Master and Doctorate comprises:

Step I - Eliminatory
The registration will only be validated by paying the bank slip and sending the complete documentation within the stipulated period.
Validation is done by confirmation email sent to the candidate.

Step II - Written Test
Only for candidates with validated registration in Step I

Step III - Interview
Interview and presentation of Research Projects for candidates who attended Stage I.

IMPORTANT:

  1. The candidate who fails to attend any stage of the selection process, even with a valid reason, will be disqualified.
  2. To ensure confidentiality and equal opportunities, it is crucial to adhere to the requests for documents and content strictly within the specified deadlines.
  3. The stages of the Selection Process will be conducted remotely, through videoconference or other synchronous sound and image transmission technology.
  4. Approval in the selection process is subject to the review of the Selection Committee, which has full autonomy to decide on the acceptance or rejection of any candidate. All decisions of the Committee are final and irrevocable, based on the criteria established by the announcement and its careful judgment. Therefore, the reasons for why candidates were or were not selected will not be disclosed.
  5. Cases not covered by this announcement will be resolved, in the first instance, by the Coordinator; in the second instance, by the Committee; and finally, by the Vice-Rectorate of Postgraduate Studies and Research.

STEP I - REGISTRATION AND DELIVERY OF DOCUMENTS
From April 14 to May 30, 2025.
Registration will only be validated upon payment of the bank slip and submission of complete documentation within the stipulated period.

STEP II - SELECTION EXAM - Written Test
June 9, 2025 (Monday), from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM - Interview and presentation of Research Projects

STEP III - INTERVIEWS FOR CANDIDATES APPROVED IN STEPS I AND II
June 17, 2025 (Tuesday), from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM - Interview and presentation of Research Projects

SELECTION RESULT
June 23, 2025 (Monday), from 6 pm – Announcement of approved candidates.

Enrollment must be done in person at the Program Secretariat, between July 7 and 18, 2025, when the candidate must:

  1. Present the following original documents:
    1. Identity Card or other identification document with national validity, for Brazilian candidates;
    2. CPF;
    3. Birth or Marriage Certificate;
    4. Undergraduate Course Diploma from a course recognized by the MEC, registered;
    5. Academic Transcript from an Undergraduate Course from a course recognized by the MEC;
    6. Master's Degree Diploma from a course recommended by CAPES, registered, for Doctorate candidates;
    7. Academic Transcript from a Master's Degree from a course recommended by CAPES, for Doctorate candidates;
    8. 2 recent 3x4 photographs;
  2. Foreign candidates must also present:

    1. National Registry of Foreigners (RNE)/National Migration Registry (RNM) or document proving legal residence in Brazil;
    2. CELPE-BRAS certificate of proficiency in Portuguese. The exam registration protocol may be accepted.

    Candidates who have completed undergraduate or master's degrees at foreign institutions must submit the following documents:

    1. Academic transcript and diploma from the undergraduate course duly revalidated, according to current legislation, except in the case of international agreements, provided that they are incorporated by Brazil;
    2. Academic transcript and diploma from the master's degree, duly recognized by a Brazilian program recognized by CAPES, for candidates for the Doctorate.
  1. Sign the Educational Services Provision Agreement.
  2. Choose the courses to be taken during the semester.
  3. Collect the payment slip for enrollment.
