Characteristics of the applied social sciences. Basic principles of scientific methodology. Research phases. Methodological and technical choices of research. Scientific work structure. Usual / non-usual methodologies of Administration. Academic text-writing specifics. Importance of the theoretical references for methodological benchmark. Quantitative, qualitative, and mixed research. Qualitative research methods (Narrative Research, Phenomenology, Grounded Theory, and Ethnography). Case Study (when to use, types – exploratory, descriptive, and explanatory; Single Case vs. Multiple Cases; Holistic vs. Integrated Cases; literal and theoretical replication; case selection, case tests; triangulation; data saturation; data analysis; intra- and –inter-case analysis, overall analytical strategy; specific analytical strategy, presentation of research results, methodological references sequencing; research protocol).
