Fundamentals of Academic Writing

Ementa:

Subject "Fundamentals of Academic Writing" is part of the strategic planning for Internationalization of UNIP’s Post-Graduation Program in Dentistry. During the semester when the subject will be taught, students will discuss the topics on the writing of scientific articles and will apply such knowledge to a text to be handed in as the subject’s final assignment. Classes will be taught in English. Students will have the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired through the subject during all of its classes. Students will be evaluated on a daily basis, and the final mark will be the arithmetic average obtained from the final assignment mark (double weight). The subject aims at getting the students to exercise their English-language writing in their scientific papers. Aspects regarding integrity in academic research will be addressed as well. These activities are intended for inserting the program in the academic sphere in international level, aiming at scientific production and collaboration.
