Production and the Environment III: Industrial Ecology and ecological economy
Syllabus
Approach to relationships between companies, markets and institutions, processes, and the environment. This complexity is the core of Industrial Ecology and Ecological Economy. The transformation speed and intensity of technologies and the forms of industrial production organization have been changing in the last few decades, and the conflicts brought about by such transformations are discussed and analyzed. Concepts related to ecology economy and its theme associated to industrial ecology. Typology and perspectives of the economy, as well as the historical evolution of environmental concern, analyzing the influence of the economic sector on sustainable development.
