Syllabus

To know the evolution of mediation processes in human communication. Reflect on the concept of mediation, its growing complexity and expansion. Analyze different processes of media configurations: the primary media, the body and its languages; the printed media, the written media, the press and the expansion of the space-time scale in communications; the electronic media, electricity, acceleration, new technologies and its virtual character. To present the aspects concerning the relationship between the contemporary context and the mediation processes, such as: hyperconnectivity and wear of communication bonds in industrialized societies. To reflect about digital media addressing issues involving cyberculture, cyberspace and socio-cultural aspects related to this technical environment.
